Welcome! I'm James, an experienced game developer based in Cambridgeshire, UK.
I currently work for Frontier Developments as Dialogue and Writing Manager and hold a Master's degree in Music Composition.
I joined Frontier Developments in 2013 as an Audio Designer and went on to enjoy 7 years in a Senior Audio Designer role. In 2021, I transitioned to the role of Dialogue Manager, before branching out into my current role in 2025. I have worked on over 15 multi-platform titles across 3 console generations (Gen 7 to Gen 9).

Over the course of a decade at Frontier, I've had the fortune of working with some incredible high-profile franchises including Jurassic World, Formula 1 and Warhammer, working with Hollywood movie talent, broadcast commentators and a plethora of amazing actors to bring our game worlds to life. I'm also incredibly proud to be the creator of Planco, a language constructed for the Planet franchise (Planet Coaster, Planet Zoo). Drop me a line and say 'Hayo!'

I was honoured to be included in Develop Magazine's '30 Under 30' in 2013, and have since contributed to the audio of several titles nominated for Best Audio from the following awards bodies: Golden Joystick, Develop, TIGA, GANG.

I'm proud family man, with a wife, two children, and a house rabbit.

I play 'cello with US pop punkers Bowling For Soup at select UK shows/festivals.

I volunteer as a Cub Scout leader. I'm Chil (from Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book).

My first console game I had was Jurassic Park for the Sega Mega Drive (Genesis).
